2009 POOL RULES
 
KEYS & ID CARDS FOR NEW RESIDENTS AVAILABLE AT KIRKPATRICK MGMT.   DUES MUST BE CURRENT. REPLACEMENT FOR LOST KEYS/CARDS - $10 EACH

  • All persons using the pool do so at their own risk and sole responsibility.
     
  • All pool parties must be booked with Kirkpatrick Management.
     
  • Everyone must shower before entering the pool.  Use of oils and lotions must be washed off to avoid gumming up the filters and making the pool water cloudy.
     
  • Food and drink may be consumed only in the eating area.  No food allowed on the pool apron.  Please clean off your table, pick up your trash and place in trash cans when you finish.  NO ALCOHOLIC beverages permitted at the pool or at pool parties.  NO SMOKING in the pool area.
     
  • Please be considerate when inviting guests, especially when the pool is crowded.  Resident must be present with guests at all times.  Priority will be given to dues paying members.
     
  • Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a responsible adult who is a paid PPOA member.   Children age 12-13 must pass a swimming test to be left at the pool unattended by an adult.  Siblings age 10-11 of said children must also pass the swimming test to accompany their older sibling.  Babysitters/nannies must be at least 16 years old with a valid driver’s license or state issued ID.  Parents must contact the Pool Chairperson and give this information before they will be allowed entry.  A babysitter/nanny may only bring children for whom she/he is the designated babysitter/nanny – no friends or guests of the babysitter/nanny will be allowed entry.  During adult swim periods, all those under age 18 must sit out.  Infants or non-swimming children may accompany adults during this time.
     
  • Pets are NOT allowed in the pool area.
     
  • No running, pushing or rowdy horseplay.  No foul language or bullying.  No standing or sitting on someone’s shoulders in the pool.  No playing on the ladders or float line.  Only 4” pool balls allowed in pool, but must not be thrown at others.  No hard objects in the pool (Frisbees, balls, etc.)  NO DIVING at any time.  Violation may result in ejection from the pool.
     
  • Baby pool is restricted to children six (6) and younger when accompanied by an adult.  Babies and toddlers must wear approved swimming pool diapers at all times.
     
  • Only swimsuits may be worn in the water, no street clothes are permitted in the water (Indiana State Department of Health 410 IAC 6-21.-36).
     
  • Anytime fecal matter is discovered in the pool, it will be closed for 24-hours. Board of Health requires immediate closure due to E-coli and other health risks.  Please do not use pool if you’ve had diarrhea within 2 weeks.
     
  • Persons having infectious diseases, open sores, bandages, cuts or recent vaccinations must not enter the pool area.
     
  • Lifeguards will close the pool if lightening is sighted or advised to close by the Pool Management Company due to approaching storms. 
     
  • The PPOA is not responsible for lost or stolen articles, accidents or injuries.  When leaving the pool area, be sure to pick up all your things.
     
  • Please keep lifeguards informed if restrooms need attention. 
     
  • There is to be absolutely no glass in or around the pool area to include the eating area and the restrooms.
